Good corporate citizen charter
CTC is committed to be a good corporate citizen.
This has been incorporated in Charter which focuses on:

1) Care for the Environment

2) Care for the Community

3) Corporate Support

Care for the environment

CTC shares the common concern about the environment and the need to address issues of climate change. The challenges of the future can only be met if each individual and each organisation takes measures to reduce its environmental impact and its own carbon footprint.

CTC has implemented the following:

  • Fully compliant Water Efficiency Management Plan (WEMP)
  • Waterless urinals
  • Improvement to the Rocky Water Holes Creek flora & fauna
  • Partnerships with Oxley Creek Catchment for continuation of creek improvements

Measures being introduced include:

  • Rainwater harvesting for use in toilets
  • Renewable energy use for hot water supply across most of the precinct
  • carbon accounting and reporting
  • carbon neutral training rooms
  • green preceivement

CTC's environmental push is coordinated
under its Ecowatch banner
CARBON ACCOUNTING
CTC is committed to reducing its carbon footprint through carbon accounting. The current progress towards carbon neutrality is shown below.
Care for the community

CTC already plays a significant role in the community but has decided to nominate, on an annual basis, a charity that it supports financially. CTC has previously supported Ardoch Youth Foundation in 2008.
In 2009 CTC sponsored the production of a cookbook compiled by students on CTC's Refugees Ready for Work Program (now discontinued). For copies of the cookbook click here.
CTC is finalising its Good Corporate Citizen recipient for 2010.

In addition CTC allows its staff to work 2 days per year for an approved nominated charity.
