Seminars

Making industry safer through information and advice

CTC conducts quarterly Safety Series Seminars focusing on key aspects of high-risk construction activities as well as more general health and well-being issues.

Since the inception of our seminars back in 2014, industry experts have delivered talks on a range of high-risk areas such as Swing Stage, Elevated Work Platform, Working at Heights & Rope Access, Scaffolding, Confined Space, Crane Operation, Materials & Personnel Hoist, Asbestos Removal, Traffic Control, and Electrical Safety.

We’re mindful of the “health” in Workplace Health & Safety, and a number of seminars have focused more on Worker Well-being. Topics have included Recognising and Managing Heat Stress, Men’s Health Issues, Diet and Nutrition, Fatigue Management and the Dangers of Sun Exposure.

These FREE breakfast sessions provide an opportunity to hear from experts in their field. Guest speakers are representatives from the relevant industry association as well as the regulator, Workplace Health & Safety Queensland. You’ll also have the opportunity to see the state of the art plant and equipment available in Hot Leasing facility.

Attendance at our Safety Series Seminars is a great way for trainers and assessors to demonstrate their currency with industry skills and knowledge.

Anyone who has an interest in construction work site safety is invited to attend these FREE sessions (breakfast provided) that kick-off at 7.00am and are over by 9.00am. We think it’s a worthwhile investment in time to find out latest developments in critical areas of safety in the building and construction sector.
